With the recent that soon-to-be First Daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, are mulling a move to Washington, D.C., T&C offers a few places the family of five might want to consider in upscale neighborhoods popular with the political crowd. Aaron Terrazas, senior economist at Zillow, says that the Washington, D.C market "is very different than Manhattan." For instance "wherever they look it's going to be a little less dense than New York City, and these neighborhoods, especially Kalorama and Georgetown, have a historic charm that's maybe lacking in Manhattan." Plus, the couple will get more for their money: " Prices per square foot in D.C. are significantly lower than in Manhattan," Terrazas says. "Even in the pricey neighborhoods like Georgetown you're still seeing about $200 less per square foot than in a prime Manhattan location." Appeal: This renovation of a classic 1926 Colonial has four finished levels, high ceilings, and hardwood floors throughout the house.
Since Ivanka has shown an appetite for cooking, she'll appreciate the chef's kitchen and breakfast bar. Appeal: With stainless-steel Thermador appliances, marble countertops, a double oven, and five-burner gas range, the kitchen is the draw here.
