Attic bedroom

The specific nature and layout of the attic may require you to use a bit of cunning when designing this interior. One of the most important things when designing an attic is making sure that every inch of this space is properly used - be it for storage or decoration. To create the impression of space and airy, it is worth focusing on light colors on the walls and ceiling (white, beige, pastels). Of course, there is nothing better than roof windows, but if we cannot afford them, it is worth investing in, at least in making a small skylight or thinking about installing a dormer. The expressive lighting fixture will emphasize the height of the room, and in combination with wooden wall panels and neutral colors, it will give your bedroom a cozy atmosphere. Often, due to the unconventional layout of the room, placing a bed in the attic may be a bit difficult.

Such a functional solution - built-in storage compartments - will fit perfectly into any space in our bedroom. Additional space for our belongings will also be provided by: a bed with a storage function, bedside tables or a wooden chest, which can also be used as a seat under the window.

If you are planning a boho-style bedroom, a wall mural with a tropical pattern or other nature theme will be a perfect solution.

A minimalist bedroom will look good with wallpaper with a delicate geometric pattern or a monochrome shade. On the market you can find a wide range of glass, canvas and acrylic paintings with beautiful patterns. A modern bedroom will look interesting if there are landscapes glass prints or abstract paintings on the wall.

Hard-wearing laminate or vinyl floors are one of the best choices for an attic - they are soundproof and easy to clean. Lots of beautiful textures are conducive to creating a fabulously cozy attic bedroom.

Linen sheets on the bed covered with delicate fleece or wool blankets will make it a perfect place to rest.

To complete the look, accentuate the bedroom space with additional decorative pillows, e.g. ethno, boho or jacquard pillowcases, which you can put on a bed, chair or chest.
