Use these table setting tips and tricks to create a beautiful, neutral fall tablescape! Although the temperature outside won’t begin to drop for at least another month or two here in South Carolina, my boys starting back to school this week signals a change of season for our family!
One of the ways I like to honor these milestones is with a special family dinner complete with fall decor. Creating beautiful and easy tablescapes is one of my superpowers, and I love passing along my attainable tips to you.
When choosing fabric pumpkins to purchase for your table, lay them out in your shopping cart to get an idea of how many you will need. Vary the shapes, textures, colors, patterns and sizes of your pumpkins for a cozy and layered look!
I found these incredibly affordable, buffalo check hand towels at Christmas Tree Shops andThat! They offer you an additional layer of texture, color, and pattern and can be folded, fluffed, tied off, or tossed to create various looks. Here I simply tied lace-edged napkins in a loose knot and placed the fork through the center of each. Some great examples of seasonal items to consider are baby boo pumpkins, apples, pears, flowers, special treat, etc.
I found these adorable and inexpensive mini-bread pans at Christmas Tree Shops andThat! After you’ve finished decorating the table, don’t forget to add a few simple seasonal touches to any other large piece furniture items in your dining space to create a cohesive look.
Above my buffet, I added an adorable wreath from the Black & White collection at Christmas Tree Shops andThat! On the server table, I placed some fresh mums and limelight hydrangeas in some painted crocks.
These small seasonal touches add to the ambiance and theme of my neutral fall dining room!
