Located on Nantucket island, this shingle cottage is in the country, but not too far away from the waves.
Not only does the location make this country cottage attractive, the interiors are also very impressive.
Beautiful crisp whites seamlessly blend with warm hues and greys, making this cottage a very calming place to visit, or if you’re very lucky, to live in. Here, the designer added some vintage-inspired stools to bring some charm and interest to the space.
The countertops are honed “Pietra de Cardoza granite”, a harder alternative to soapstone. Nothing feels complicated or overwhelming in this space, but it still has plenty of character. Floors are reclaimed white oak, rift and quartered, with a catalyzed waterborne urethane finish. Who would love to soak in that bath for hours with a good book?
