If I had any doubt that winter was here, then last week’s chilly sub-zero temps, high-winds, and snow knocked me clearly into reality. Since I’ve been forced to spend A LOT of time indoors lately, my attention has really been focused on winter decorating and switching things up around our house.
I switched out the bench and pillows that are normally under the mirror for a newly refinished table and fun accessories. I love this cute little snowy owl throw pillow peeking out from under the table! I’ve been happily using snippings from our pine trees to add a little fresh winter greenery to my vignettes. Moving into the living room…I kept my deer head from my Christmas mantel on the chalkboard for winter.
I like the bit of detail that it adds to the mirror, this vignette might look too sparse without it, don’t you think? This one didn’t make the cut for her room, but when I stuck it on my console table, I knew the birdcage to stay here! I really love the way my industrial chairs look with the rustic burlap runner and jute rug. Be sure to check out Rachel’s , from Maison de Pax, and Krista’s, from The Happy Housie, winter tours!
