And as I sit in my favorite reading-dreaming spot I realize that it’s time for a good living room refresh! So you can imagine how excited I am that Birch Lane reached out to me and asked if I would like to do a summer living room refresh. The website is full of exciting items for every decorating taste and style.

Luckily, my basic furniture is in good shape, plus I am happy with the style.

So it was easy for me to find my style online and see many items that would fit nicely in my home. Fortunately, my sofa came with six throw pillows: the brown velvet, the script ones, and two with blue florals.

By working with items that I already own and staying with the southern vibe, the simple change of rug will make a huge difference. And Birch Lane is the perfect place to shop for a jute area rug.
