When I chose my winter palette of icy blue and sage green, I had no idea how much I was going to love it. This winter color palette of blues and greens is amazing and creates such a serene and calm feel in our home.
I started incorporating the new winter palette in the family room and loved it! As I was taking down and packing up all of the Christmas decorations, I kept an eye out for anything that fell into my new winter color palette. I was surprised to find how many glass Christmas balls I have in sagey/silver greens, icy blue, and silver.
They also add a bit of sparkle when they catch the winter light through the windows in the afternoon.
A few years ago, I bought some faceted crystal trees at Pottery Barn. Sadly, these trees are no longer available on the Pottery Barn website (in case you are wondering).
We have been gathering in the living room after dinner, curling up on the couch in front of the fire with a book, or in my case, my Kindle, and reading for a couple of hours in the evenings. I added these pillow covers that I made last weekend to the living room couches and I LOVE the look they created.
Now that we are spending our evenings in the living room, I created a space for a little after-dinner snack and to make some cozy warm drinks. I am so in love with our new farmhouse winter decor and I hope my ideas have inspired you!
