Natural raw materials used for construction of VQV Furniture Group's furnishings will have variations in areas such as (but not limited to) color, pattern, grain and texture. This item is designed and manufactured by Wholesale Interiors, Inc., a furniture company based near Chicago. A lot goes into the making of Wholesale Interiors furniture, and it all starts with attention to details. Their furniture is padded with high polyurethane foam to create the body contouring comfort and support for which Wholesale Interiors is famous. In 1940 the Museum of Modern Art held the "Organic Design in Home Furnishings" competition. Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen designed an entire set of Organic chairs, each focused on a different sitting position.
The creations were ahead of their time, but never went into production owing to a lack of manufacturing ability. Not until after 1950 was it possible to mass produce large volume of organically molded seat shells, such as the Eames' famous Plastic Armchair or Saarinen's Tulip chair.
