kitchen with large angled island.zones wrong

Hi,We toured a home with this kitchen that has a feature I fell in love with- a large (LARGE) angled island that seats 6.We have 5 in our family so I knew going in that I wanted a large island with plenty of seating but I didn't think I would like an angled island, but I do.

Anyways, there are so many things wrong with the zones of this kitchen that I wondered if it's possible to make it work.i feel the second island may be awkward/clunky, but possibly serves as a prep area in between the sink and stove.

what changes could be made to keep the bones of this plan but make it more functional?

Angled kitchen island-good or bad idea?

We are renovating our kitchen and I have a dream vision of this angled island. We are removing our peninsula and adding an island which I would like to extend on an angle for the eating area-which would replace our kitchen table.

Has anyone done this that can provide feedback on how you like it and pictures?

Angled Islands??

They are working with a retired architect and working toward finalizing the plan.kitchen 7 years ago, that I am now asking for help for my sister's.

Posh but practical

"The feedback about this home has been absolutely great," said Kensington's sales representative for 175 Lake Bend, Sabie Brar. That open feel is on display in a great room that has as much function as it has fashion. The best part about the Cypress II's great room is it isn't just one humungous space with three different spaces placed haphazardly within it.

Posh but practical
Another practical feature is a space behind the kitchen that contains a (visitable) powder room, landing with closet and a door for access to the attached garage.

"Most people keep it -- it tends to be the most-used space in the home," Brar said, adding the second-floor laundry room next to the loft is also a popular -- and practical -- design feature.

Board and Batten Island Makeover

After I cut the batten (& make sure it fits properly) I then cut the trim pieces that will (eventually) be installed on either side of the batten.I set my table saw to a 22.5 degree angle and ripped my vertical batten with a 22.5 degree cut on one side.

Board and Batten Island Makeover
Again, I ran my board through the tables saw with my first 45 degree cut, I then measured and marked how wide my board needed to be.To create this board I ended up using a 1″x8″ primed board.I wanted to keep the dimensions/style as the rest of my island so I used 1×3″ boards ripped with a 45 degree angle on one edge in order to create a mitered 90 degree angle on both sides.

Need advice: 2 large pendants or 3 over large angled island

We started by taking our large 2 level island down to one level and installing new quartz countertops and an apron front sink. The kitchen originally had 4 pendant lights that were 8” wide.We bought large 16” Feiss globe lantern pendants and planned to use two of the original light locations and center a new one for a third pendant over the sink area.My question is, should we stick with that plan or is that too many pendant lights because the fixtures are large?

Need advice: 2 large pendants or 3 over large angled island
The other option I thought about is moving the two pendant lights closer to the angled parts of the island, on either side of the sink and installing one recessed light on each end portion of the island.

Remodeling 90s kitchen with angled peninsula

We are closing on a lovely house (built in the 90s) and we plan to remodel the kitchen.I'd love create a lighter and more modern space in there.

Remodeling 90s kitchen with angled peninsula
I would like to get new cabinetry that go all the way to the ceiling and also get rid of the angled peninsula.I love the sitting space the peninsula creates, I like that it overlooks the family room but I also find it dated and a bit restrictive.

Behind the kitchen there is a formal dining room and I am wondering if we should open that wall and create a galley.

Two Tier Kitchen Island Update

One of them is the two-tier kitchen island. Two tier also divides the room unnecessarily as opposed to allowing the eye to easily take in the expanse.
