The Black, White, and Blue Residence C.L. by W&Li Design

W&Li Design took a different approach with the layout of Residence C.L., an apartment located in Taipei City, Taiwan.The new layout also made way for three independent bedrooms and a shared bathroom whose doors are disguised in blue.

The blue switches to white in the living room where a wall of minimalist cabinets surround the television.

The interior combines black details with white and blue surfaces for a bold graphic design that keeps you visually invested.The master bedroom benefits from a glass panel that separates it from the master bathroom.

Let’s see some tips for the living room.Assuming that the living room is spacious, there should be enough space for you to design as you wish.

This way the atmosphere will be airy and the white walls and white ceiling will be like a blank canvas for you to decorate as you want.

Creating color contrast is a good idea but this works mostly when there’s also a distinc color besides black and white.

The sofa can be grey for example and if you have an open floor plan with the living room and dining room in the same space, the dining room chairs can be beige or brown.

Giving Senior Living Design the Old College Try

But, Rachel Kadidlo’s senior living apartment design may change that.Kadidlo, an architecture student in the University of Minnesota’s College of Design, won the Pillars Senior Living Small Space Apartment Design Challenge.

It’s home-tour time again, and today I have a beautiful Swedish apartment decorated in blue, white and black to share with you.Most of the apartment is taken up with an open-plan living space, whose white-painted beams and bare wooden floorboards lend a loft-like feel.

At the other end is a sitting area, where a blue wall and large rug are used to define the space and create a slightly cosier ambiance.The apartment also encompasses a spacious home office / second bedroom with a bank of built-in cupboards to hide away clutter.
