I definitely wanted to keep the kitchen light and airy so I opted to paint the cabinets, trim and ceiling Farrow & Ball Mizzle.

Last fall I took a trip to Madison, Wisconsin to visit the headquarters of Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove.If you are building a new kitchen, then you would just give the specifications sheet (available online) to your contractor.

I have painted my kitchen and breakfast room walls with F&B Mizzle.Very yummy color!

Next is the bank of uppers over the sink, which will probably get F&B Stony Ground, inspired by Rococogurl, and a near-perfect match for the Pratt & Larson backsplash tile.

This last shot is a little rough...I haven't put the room back together yet.

THE BEST GREEN PAINT COLORS

But a slight tweak in a shade of green paint and suddenly it’s a whole new love affair.Since I’ve dabbled in quite a few green paint swatches & gallons over the years, today I thought I’d share the best green paint colors that I’ve used in my own home and some that I’ve seen in other homes.A paint color will look completely different in one room than another and depending on which way the sun is facing.

BENJAMIN MOORE NORTH SHORE GREEN LRV: 71 This color is a lovely, soft blue-ish green that sort of reminds me of Farrow & Ball Light Blue.

I was telling my friend last weekend about how much I love following Mandy Moore’s mid-century modern house renovation on Instagram.The house was built in the 1950’s by mid-century architect modern Harold B. Zook and then underwent a terrible renovation in the 1990’s.I’m not a big mid-century modern fan but I can honestly say that I love this house.This is a very special guest bathroom.

LIVING ROOM MAKEOVER

There was 5 layers of wallpaper on every wall in this room, which took an absolute age to get off, even with help.The wall paint colour is a colour match of Mizzle by Farrow & Ball from a local paint shop, much cheaper, and if I’m honest, better coverage!

It’s the perfect height next to the armchair and really finishes the room off, exactly what I was hoping for!

And here’s the view from the front door – I’m not lucky enough to have a hallway, so you step straight into the living room when you walk into the house.So that’s it – my living room makeover – hope you love it as much as I do!
