Ikea Copy Cat Homemade Occasional TableI just completed my very own Ikea copy cat homemade occasional table!My daughter and I were shopping at Ikea the other day.We found the coolest bed set up with a occasional table on wheels to use while you are in bed!

It’s made for an Ikea bed that was extremely low to the ground.There’s no way that Ikea occasional table would even fit over her bed.

Rhody Life: DIY: IKEA MALM Occasional Table

Wood Screws: I bought a box of #12 1.5" wood screws to attach the L-Brackets and the Casters to the wood pieces.Using a pencil, mark where the L-Bracket screw holes are, then using your drill, drill in your pilot holes.

When you are ready to assemble the table, lay the table top on the floor, with the pilot holes facing upward.

Line your table legs up with the edge of the table top, and line up the pilot holes with the holes in the L-Bracket.Attach your table legs to the table top using the wood screws.

Olov Overbed table

Simple overbed table that extends the width of the bed.(Blue in the picture, yet to be stained)Attach 4 Olov legs to the plank.This is actually Olov Overbed table v2.Olov Overbed table v1 uses the same concept, but only 2 Olov legs and the table is on castor wheels for easier maneuvering.

In v1, the Olov legs were screwed into a wooden plank, and hot glue gun glue applied around the base of Olov to attach to the wooden plank.
