New was the fad and the Mid-Century Modern style did things with design that had never been done before.The Mid-Century Modern style was marked by a few very specific characteristics not found in any other style of architecture.

I love wood, I do, but I also tend to see its limitations (or maybe sometimes just my own limitations).For example — brace yourselves, wood lovers — I have been known to paint a vintage wood piece.
