Last week I shared the design board for my daughter’s Tween Bedroom Refresh – which, note the title change for this post to Teen Girl Bedroom Decor…My child informed me that she is really closer to 13 than 12 and she is almost, basically, not really, even a tween anymore.So without further ado, her new TEEN room!They have so many great prints, but the colors in this one really caught her eye.I didn’t hide it in the photos, I’m a bit rusty getting my big girl camera back out for the first time in a while!

This was so fun to work on with her this summer and feels so much more “teen” now.

Horse Inspired Girl Room

She loves pink and horses and so I was so excited to help design her horse inspired girl room!This image has horse toys, horse ribbons, and vintage horse tags.

I ended up finding my horse ribbons at an antique shop, but I also got a few on Etsy (just search vintage horse ribbon).You can see a few of the horse accents with the horse stuffed animal, vintage horse barn, and horse ribbons.

Yet all that changed with my daughter’s room makeover.Under my daughter’s guidance, I painted the armoire and the radiator cover and Ikea mirror white.

With our white and gray base set, I must admit I was surprised when my daughter added in blue.That was her requested wall chandelier stencil color …and Paint-A-Pillow color.You can find links to the tutorials for the projects in my daughter’s room below.

A Teen Bedroom Makeover

She went back and forth between turquoise, black & silver and purple, black & white.The purple room won.

We found some cute black & white fashion prints at HomeGoods, along with a big black wire Eiffel Tower.Target has some adorable curtains in black & white — zebra print and chandeliers, but they didn’t coordinate with Natalie’s bedding.So, we went with basic white curtains with a black sheer netting.
