So, I knew Aubusson would be my color, I just needed to polish up the brass.To achieve this shiny, undistressed, mid-century modern finish, I started off like I normally do.After the second coat it got a little better and after the third coat it had a nice glossy sheen.I really love the deep teal color of Aubusson and the over-all look of this mid-century modern dresser!Hopefully you can feel a little more confident that Chalk Paint CAN be used to achieve a modern look!

But I was when out thrifting a few weeks ago, I found this $20 mid century inspired double top side table and just had to get it.Let dry then come back and spray the sides, and legs with the white gloss spray paint.Once the spray paint is dry, use your angled brush to paint the top of the table with your latex paint.Just spray with the primer, paint with either spray paint or latex paint, and then seal with the shellac spray.They also have paint on shellac, but I prefer the look and ease of the spray shellac.
