The Prettiest Storage Cabinet Ever

I loved the natural look and feel of it and I thought it would be the perfect thing to bring in some much needed storage into our living room.I actually planned to get two and place them side by side along the wall where our desk was currently sitting.

It had the same look as the Ikea cabinet but the scale was much much better and I much preferred that it its raised up off the ground a bit more.

viaWhile the Ikea cabinet is priced at $350, this one is much higher at $729.Not only is it just plain pretty, it provides a ton of much needed storage.

Thoughts on the Ikea Stockholm Spring 2017 line + a few other new

If you follow me on Instagram, I’m sure you already know I got my hands on a couple new Stockholms items from their Spring line.The cabinet has gold handles which I really love and the size of the cabinet is perfect for our living room.

they are not super heavy yet still sturdy at the same timethey are deep enough to fit baskets and pillows which I really appreciateI love that I can use the coffee table two ways: bench or coffee table.Some other new items I picked up and love:this basket from the new Jassa line which is a limited edition.I have yet to see the whole Stockholm Spring 2017 line but so far I am loving these 2 pieces.

My inspiration for this one, was the rattan cabinet from the IKEA Stockholm 2017 collection.IKEA items used:IVAR cabinetEDVALLA drop handleBURFJORD legsOther materials:DIY rattan cabinetFirst, I measured the cabinet doors and cut two pieces of my pre-woven cane to fit.However, I left out the shelves and the cabinet doors from the assembly.

Attach cane webbing to doorsThen, while it is still damp, I started attaching it to the cabinet doors.Next, using a paint brush, I smoothed on glue on the front of the cabinet door.

This BILLY celebrates with one

I first saw Kathryn’s BILLY hack with cane webbing doors on Instagram.She’s always loved cane furniture and missed out on the IKEA STOCKHOLM 2017 cabinet when it was released two years.

Kathryn considered using existing BILLY doors and actually purchased the doors for this purpose.

For the open panels in the doors, he used a roll of cane webbing.
