It was oil paint, and I used oil paint going forward.What took even longer than wrestling handles off was moving all the magnetic poetry off the side of the fridge.

The grubby white handles got a good cleaning with the tri-sodium phosphate cleaner and they brightened right up.

With the crisp white handles and cool teal color, it has a little mid century snap.

Totally worth my leftover cabinet paint and a few hours of my time.

My Kitchen…Although I have been in the mood to do a mini makeover on my kitchen I wanted to give you a kitchen tour of how it is now.The cabinets started out white and I painted them an antique white then added the glaze.AND if you have read my About The Barkers page you will know why I love this sign 🙂The kitchen really is the heart of the home!

On a recent Ikea expedition, I admired the many powder-coated-steel storage options, and in particular, the doctor’s-office-style Fabrikör cabinet, shown above.Julie, coincidentally, had just been eyeing the classic vitrine by metal-furniture maker Adico of Portugal, which has a history as a hospital furnishings supplier.
