On Wednesday, students from North Schuylkill High School began working on their entry into the 59th Annual North Schuylkill Halloween Window Painting Contest.Students first submit a drawing on paper of their ideas, and the top selections as determined by the Art Department at North Schuylkill.Each year, retired North Schuylkill Art teachers travel from town to town, judging each of the paintings.

Prizes are awarded for: Grand Prize, 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, and Honorable Mention.This year's judges are retired North Schuylkill teachers Mrs. Suzanne O'Neil and Ms. Marybeth Sugrue.

Use this super quick DIY window paint recipe to create some art and mark making on the windows.I wanted to make some paint that could be used on the windows and that could be easily cleaned off again.

It would also work very well as an alternative bath paint (you see our shaving cream version of those here too.)

She had lots of fun added different colours to the window using thick and thin paintbrushes, singing and talking as she applied colours.

Because of the washing up liquid ingredient in the paint, this seemed to really help the paint lift off very easily indeed, and before long they had cleaned the whole window area without me even getting involved.
